“I will not allow the Catholicosate to be taken out of Armenia along with the treasures of Etchmiadzin,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated today, February 13, at a briefing.

“The initiative to convene a Council of Bishops outside Armenia is aimed at removing the Catholicosate of the Armenian Apostolic Church from the Republic of Armenia, strengthening the factor of a puppet Catholicosate in the hands of certain forces, and using it as an instrument against the Republic of Armenia,” Nikol Pashinyan said.

He also issued a warning to representatives of the diaspora: “There will be very tough resistance, and those who have set their sights on the treasures of Etchmiadzin will have to turn their gaze elsewhere.”
