The hearing of the motion began at 12:00. The motion concerns the extension of house arrest as a preventive measure. The grounds and justifications have the same content as in the hearing of the arrest motion, only the phrase "house arrest" is used at the end, lawyer Aram Vardanyan told journalists in the court's courtyard, noting that the court has declared a recess and the hearing will continue at 20:00.

"Why do I bring this up? So that you understand that neither the seven-month arrest nor the two-month house arrest has any justification. Simply put, a preventive measure of such intensity cannot be applied within the law. The fact that this criminal proceeding should be terminated is obvious. This is not primitive political persecution — this motion no longer concerns equality, justice, or the violation of political processes in Armenia. The period for which they are requesting to extend the house arrest is a direct interference in political processes," the lawyer added.
