Armenia is interested in and hopes for the earliest possible establishment of peace around Iran. This was stated by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in a conversation with journalists on March 23.

The Minister avoided answering a question about the possibility of a conflict between Azerbaijan and Iran, but emphasized Armenia's interest in the earliest possible establishment of peace around Iran.

The Foreign Minister also reported that significant work has been done regarding the evacuation of Armenians from countries affected by the conflict. According to him, embassies have established contacts, and hotlines have been set up. Some citizens have chosen to remain, but there are still those wishing to come to Armenia. Commenting on the high cost of tickets, Mirzoyan noted that the government is ready to reimburse part of the cost (250,000 drams), and those interested may apply.
