Applications for nomination in the Armenian National Assembly (NA) elections have been received from 19 political forces, two of which are alliances, 17 are parties, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia reports.
The deadline for submitting documents to the CEC for the registration of political forces wishing to run in the June 7 NA elections expired Thursday at 18:00.
As of now, the following political forces have submitted their respective documents to the CEC: Civil Contract party, Prosperous Armenia party, Meritocratic Party of Armenia, "I am Against Everyone" Democratic Party, “Strong Armenia” Alliance, Democratic Solidarity party, Wings of Unity party, Bright Armenia party, National Democratic Pole Pan-Armenian Party, “Armenia” Alliance, Christian Democratic party, Armenian National Congress party, Republic party, New Power party, Reformist party, Alliance party, DOK party, and Zartonk party.
The registration of electoral lists will be completed by May 3. That is, in fact, on May 4, it will be finally clear how many political forces will receive the right to run in the elections.
Officially, all electoral lists will be published on the CEC website by May 6.
The election campaign will begin on May 8 and will continue until June 5 at midnight.
