Ragip Zarakolu—a well-known Turkish human rights advocate and director of Belge Publishing House, in Turkey, who is imprisoned within the framework of the KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) affair—is released from prison by a court verdict.

The court ruled for the release of the fifteen suspects, including Zarakolu, who were arrested in connection with the KCK affair, Milliyet daily of Turkey informs. 

In the accusation report, which was prepared for the KCK affair, it was asked that Zarakolu be sentenced to ten years on charges of “being a member of a terrorist structure.”

To note, Ragip Zarakolu’s Belge Publishing House has published numerous books on the Armenian Genocide, and Zarakolu visited Armenia in February 2011.
