WASHINGTON. – The Armenian Genocide Museum of America announced about opening an exhibit entitled ‘The Witnesses of the Armenian Genocide’, the Armenian Assembly of America informs.

Photographic materials about the genocide made by German witnesses are to be exhibited. The exhibition is located in the Lutheran Church of Reformation in Washington, D.C.

Photographic evidence about the genocide is rare. The authorities of the Ottoman Empire prohibited taking any pictures.

Ignoring the ban, some German Military officials and citizens photographed the horrific events.

The exhibit is a result of years of work in European archives.
