ISTANBUL. - The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton is satisfied with the atmosphere in which the negotiations between Iran and the six international mediators started in Istanbul on Saturday.

“A positive atmosphere has been established. We can see the desire to achieve success,” the spokesperson of Ashton, Michael Mann announced, Interfax reports.

On Saturday afternoon the talks on Iran’s nuclear issue started between the delegation from Teheran and the permanent member countries of the UN Security Council.
