Swedish-Finnish TeliaSonera Company has given state security services access to systems of the former Soviet Union states in order to secure lucrative contracts there.

Swedish media claims that the Company provided such services to Azerbaijan, Belarus and Uzbekistan, The Local reports.

For example, an Azerbaijani man was called in to an interrogation by the country's security service after having voted for Armenia in the finals of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest.

The Swedish government is the largest shareholder in TeliaSonera, owning over 37 percent of the company's shares, while Finland owns 13.7 percent.
