YEREVAN. – By the initiative of Green Land NGO for the first time a car-free day will be announced in Yerevan on Sunday in connection with Earth Day.

The car-free day is an annual event which takes places in many countries of the world. In downtown Yerevan too traffic will be stopped on Sunday and people will be free to walk, ride their bicycles or roller skates.

Environmental films will be screened and games will be organized in the framework of the event. The aim of the car-free day is to promote healthy life style and bicycle culture in the cities.
