French film director Raffy Shart, the nephew of world famous singer Charles Aznavour and the author of the popular play ‘My wife’s name is Maurice’, published his first novel entitled ‘Children of Oblivion’, which is about the Armenian Genocide.

As Nouvelles d’Armenie reports, the story starts in 1913 in Bitlis, Turkey. The story leads the reader by the paths of two young people – young Zvart and her husband Gevork, and their Turkish and Armenian Friends.

The book is dedicated to the author’s grandfather Kevork Garvarents, who created the Armenian anthem.

According to the author, it was very important to focus the events on friendship and love so the reader will be able to come to love the heroes and thus understand the truth.
