YEREVAN. – Armenian capital Yerevan’s Mayor, Taron Margaryan, acquainted Mayor of Buenos Aires, Mauricio Macri—who is in the capital to attend celebrations in connection with Yerevan’s declaration by UNESCO as the 2012 Book Capital of the World—with the plan for constructing a Buenos Aires Garden in the Armenian capital’s Ajapnyak Administrative Region.
The Garden, which will symbolize friendship between the Armenian and Argentinean people, is constructed within the framework of the cooperation program approved between Yerevan and Buenos Aires, Yerevan City Hall Information and Public Relations Department informs.
This garden, which will occupy an area of around two hectares, will become a unique recreation area especially for the residents of the aforesaid Administrative Region, which has a population of more than 100,000.
