YEREVAN. – Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan on Tuesday received a group of Armenian writers from France, Lebanon, Cyprus and Israel, who attended the 6th Pan-Armenian Writers’ Conference held in the capital Yerevan.
The interlocutors discussed preservation of the Armenian identity abroad, future expansion of the Armenian language in the Diaspora, and the Diaspora Armenian literature, the Government Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The Diaspora Armenian writers expressed their readiness to continue working as ambassadors of the Armenian language, so as to preserve and enrich the legacy of Armenian literature abroad.
Earlier, several Diaspora Armenian writers were awarded the PM’s medals for their contribution to preservation of the Armenian identity abroad.
