YEREVAN. – Armenia’s political circles are actively discussing as to who could lead the country’s government after the upcoming parliamentary elections, Hraparak daily writes.

“According to some information, the [current ruling coalition’s junior partner, Prosperous Armenia Party] PAP will hardly agree to form a coalition and assume responsibility for a government which will continue to be led by Tigran Sargsyan, who was criticized so much.

The PAP considers it a compromise if the PM were to be replaced. It is deemed possible that [incumbent] Deputy PM Armen Gevorgyan is nominated as PM candidate.

This will be an acceptable but an interim step for the PAP, until the matter of the main candidate is resolved,” Hraparak writes.
