YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Fadey Charchoglyan, was received Monday by Ahmed AbdulAziz AL-Sadoun, Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly.

During the meeting they discussed the future deepening of interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries, MFA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Ambassador Charchoglyan noted that Armenia stands ready to make the level of mutual visits by the interparliamentary delegations become more active. In this connection, he underscored Ahmed AL-Sadoun’s visit to Armenia.  

The interlocutors also reflected on stimulating ties between the interparliamentary friendship groups of both countries. Armenia’s ambassador briefed the Kuwaiti parliament speaker on the latest developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict’s settlement process and the state of affairs in Armenian-Turkish relations, and reflected on Armenia’s parliamentary elections to be held Sunday.     

In his turn, the Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker welcomed the Armenian side’s efforts toward resolving the Karabakh issue by way of talks, and noted that Kuwait always favors a peaceful settlement to this conflict. Ahmed AL-Sadoun also highly appreciated the Kuwaiti Armenian community and the Armenians’ role in the country’s prosperity, and expressed Kuwait’s readiness to deepen relations with Armenia.
