YEREVAN. – Armenia’s minimum monthly consumer basket costs AMD 55,327 (approx. US$ 141), in accordance with the average prices in the first quarter of 2012, the National Statistical Service informs.

The minimum consumer basket price dropped by AMD 7,340 (approx. $19) as compared with March 2011, but it rose by close to AMD 2,000 (approx. $5), against December 2011.   

And Armenia’s food basket cost AMD 31,200 (approx. $80) in March 2012.
