ISTANBUL. – During a television program, famous Turkish actor Mehmet Esen harshly criticized the renowned Kurdish filmmaker Yilmaz Erdogan, and called him the shame of the Kurds.

Esen noted that Erdogan was friends with Hrant Dink—the founder and former chief editor of Istanbul’s Agos Armenian bilingual weekly, who was gunned down in 2007 in front of his office building—and all of a sudden he became pals with Istanbul’s former Provincial Governor Muammer Guler and the city’s former Police Chief Celalettin Cerrah, Milliyet daily of Turkey informs.

To note, Guler and Cerrah are suspected of being informed of, but taking no measures to prevent, Dink’s murder.
