YEREVAN. – The US dollar’s exchange rate continues to sharply rise in Armenia’s financial market.

Its average exchange rate against the Armenian dram (AMD) comprised AMD 399.50/$1, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Friday; this is an AMD 1.5-rise from the previous trading session on Thursday, and this sharp increase is a record for one trading session throughout this year.  

But the total sales were a mere $900 thousand.

And Armenia’s several exchange offices already buy the dollar at AMD 398.50/$1 and sell it at a minimum of AMD 400/$1.
