YEREVAN. – Driver Mikayel Adamyan, 34, and passenger Ara Ananyan, 41, the two physicians who had sustained injuries as a result of the tragic car crash in Armenia’s Lori Region on May 12, are in satisfactory condition, Health Minister’s press secretary Shushan Hunanyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.   

“Ananyan was discharged from hospital and he is undergoing rehabilitation. And Adamyan underwent surgery yesterday [Tuesday]. He is in satisfactory condition and he, too, will be discharged from hospital next week,” she informed.       

To note, a Hyundai, which was traveling along the Agarak-Lori-Berd Highway of the Lori Region on May 12, lost control due to wet road, at around 8:30pm, and flied from above a three-meter tree and rolled over.

There were five people in the vehicle.   

First, the injured Mikayel Adamyan and Ara Ananyan were removed from the car and, subsequently, the dead bodies of Davit Gasparyan, Artur Alaverdyan, and Davit Pirumyan were taken out. 

A criminal case is opened.
