Armenia’s Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party (RLP) Vice Chairwoman Heghine Bisharyan sees herself in the legislative power, Bisharyan herself told Armenian News-NEWS.am

Bisharyan informed that she will head the RLP Faction in the new National Assembly. 

With respect to the news being disseminated that Party Vice Chairman Mher Shahgeldyan is to be designated Faction Secretary, Bisharyan noted that there is no such decision and that RLP MP Khachik Harutyunyan is expected be appointed to this position.  

And in response to the query as to how many positions the RLP will receive if it forms a ruling coalition with the Republican Party, Heghine Bisharyan noted that the respective discussions are still in progress. 

According to the preliminary results of the May 6 parliamentary elections, five political parties and one bloc will be represented in the 131-seat National Assembly (Parliament) of Armenia: Republican Party of Armenia – 44.05% (40 seats), Prosperous Armenia Party – 30.2% (28 seats), Armenian National Congress – 7.1% (7 seats), Heritage Party – 5.79% (5 seats), ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party – 5.73% (5 seats), and Orinats Yerkir Party – 5.49% (5 seats).
