The Chief of Russian Pyatigorsk City Investigation Department, where Valery Kopchuk—who ran over and killed an Armenian woman—was working, is relieved of his duties and transferred to another position. 

Earlier, Kopchuk likewise was dismissed and he had admitted his guilt. But he was released on signature bond, Yerkramas newspaper of Russian Armenians informs.   

According to the investigation report, Kopchuk hit a woman, with his Volkswagen Passat in Pyatigorsk on May 20, and drove away from the scene.   

As a result, the woman died on the spot. And Justice Lieutenant Valery Kopchuk, 22, was behind the car’s steering wheel.
