YEREVAN.- The newly elected Armenian parliaments includes many politicians rather than representatives of other circles, Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP Mkrtich Minasyan told reporters on Monday.

According to him, 26 out 69 elected MPs of the Republican Party of Armenia are new comers. There are also nine female MPs from RPA.

“Presence of women in the parliament is an important aspect. They create an atmosphere of calmness which promotes effectiveness of lawmakers’ work,” he emphasized.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, parliamentary elections were held in Armenia on May 6, 2012.
