YEREVAN. – The Armenian Government will allocate €30,000 to the Armenian Ministry of Justice in order to pay compensation to three cases lost in the European Court of Human Rights. The issue is on the agenda of the Government’s Thursday seating.

The Armenian Government must pay €10 000 for each of the cases ‘Poghosyan against Armenia’, ‘Bukhtaryan against Armenia’ and ‘Tsaturyan against Armenia’ (the verdict on the cases was made on January 10, 2012).

In 2007 Gaspar Poghosyan was sued for robbery. Hayk Bukhtaryan is a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses sect. He refused to go to the army and a criminal case was launched against him. Ashot Tsaturyan is also a member of the same sect and like Bukhtaryan refused to go to the army.
