STEPANAKERT. – The two Armenian soldiers, who were wounded in the early morning hours of Wednesday, are still in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) capital city Stepanakert Hospital, NKR Defense Army Press Secretary Senor Hasratyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He also informed that the soldiers—Volodya Tsatryan and Arayik Mavreyan—are in satisfactory condition, but it is not yet clear as to when they will be discharged from hospital and whether they will be able to continue their military service after their recovery.

Also, Senor Hasratyan still provided no information with respect to Junior Sergeant Vardan Ohanyan, who was killed.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, an Azerbaijani intelligence-diversion unit yet again attempted to infiltrate to an NKR Defense Army military position stationed along the line of contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces. This attempt was carried out on Wednesday at around 4:15am.

But NKR Defense Army vanguard subdivisions resorted to a defensive battle and, as a result, drove the Azerbaijani unit back to its initial point.

As a result of the skirmish, the adversary suffered considerable losses, but the Armenian side had losses, too, NKR Defense Army Media and Propaganda Department informs.

During the operation toward rendering the Azerbaijani diversion unit ineffective, Junior Sergeant Vardan Ohanyan was killed while privates Arayik Mavreyan and Volodya Tsatryan were wounded.
