The hearing on the candidacy of Morningstar will allow the Senate to shed light on the question of what really lies at the heart of US-Azerbaijani relations, the executive director of the Armenian National Committee in America (ANCA) Aram Hambarian announced, ANCA reports.

To note, on Wednesday the Committee on Foreign Relations of the U.S. Senate will consider the nomination of Richard Morningstar proposed by President Obama as Ambassador to Azerbaijan.

“The hearing on the candidacy of Morningstar will allow the Senate to shed light on the question of what really lies at the heart of US-Azerbaijani relations: Is the administration ready to challenge the threats and aggression of Baku or will it just be a continuation of support for the military escalation of Ilham Aliyev and the march to war,” Aram Hambarian announced.
