YEREVAN. – Military exercises will be conducted in Armenia in accordance with the 2012 CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) and the Armed Forces Training Plan, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan stated on Thursday. 

The first is the “Cooperation 2012” military drills for the rapid reaction forces and, against this background, the command post military exercises, too. In Ohanyan’s words, the latter’s first phase is politico-military and this phase will be conducted on June 25-27.     

“Armenia will be brought to high-level combat readiness and, against this backdrop, we will prepare respective orders and Armenian President’s petition to the CSTO leadership for supporting us,” noted Seyran Ohanyan.
