YEREVAN. – Azerbaijani prisoner of war Akhundzade Mammadbaghir Taliboghli was transferred from Armenia to a third country on Friday, MOD informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

Taliboghli had crossed the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and surrendered himself to the Armenian armed forces on January 23. 

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, the Azerbaijani army conscript, Sergeant Akhundzade handed himself in as a prisoner to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army, and at the line of contact between the NKR-Azerbaijani troops. After crossing the border, he stated on numerous occasions that he did not wish to return to Azerbaijan.
