Turkish authorities consider purchasing Russian anti-missile defense systems.

The Turks are interested in particular in С-400 complexes, Russian Ekho Moskvi radio station reports quoting local outlets. Ankara takes the step due to escalation in the region, including situation around Iran. NATO has earlier installed such a system in Turkey, at the same time, the country lacks similar European systems. Besides Russian weapon, offers of other countries, including the States, China and European states are also under consideration.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am has earlier informed, Turkey intends to pay over $4 billion for purchasing anti-missile defense system of extended radius. However, NATO has warned in case of preferring Russian or Chinese ones, Turkey will not have the opportunity to use data of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
