YEREVAN. – Armenian Ambassador to Argentina Vahagn Melikyan met with the Argentina’s Federal Judge Norberto Oyarbide on June 15.

The Ambassador thanked the Judge for his courage, loyalty and civil attitude in protecting universal human values, Armenian MFA informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Judge stressed in his turn that he had always sympathized to the Armenians. However, due to the lawsuit filed by Argentinean-Armenian Gregorio Hairabedian and other Armenian institutions, he could get familiarized with the history of the Armenian people closer.  

Malikyan invited Oyarbide to visit Armenia, and the Judge accepted the invitation with pleasure.

To note, Oyarbide approved the lawsuit and cast a verdict last April under which Turkey had perpetrated genocide in 1915-1923 against the Armenian nation. The decision provides an opportunity to use it as legal basis in the international organizations and various judicial institutions.
