YEREVAN. – The Armenian Government initiated the convening of an extraordinary parliament session. According to the Government decision, on Monday Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan was proposed to convene an extraordinary parliament session right after the first session.

To note, according to the law ‘Regulation of the National Assembly of Armenia’ the first session of the Armenian Parliament of Fifth Convocation started on May 31 and will be continued until all the questions on the agenda are discussed. 6 questions are on the agenda: elections of counting commission, elections of parliament speaker and deputy speaker, confirmation of numbers, spheres and names of standing committees, elections of chairpersons of standing committees and affirmation of the Government program.

The issue of the committee chairs has not been discussed yet and the affirmation of the Government program will be discussed at the parliament seating on Wednesday.

On the proposal of the Government several bills and international agreements will be included on the agenda of the extraordinary session.
