As MEDdaily.ru reports linking at The Telegraph, scientists at Cornell University conducted a test with volunteers who were given pasta on white and red plates. In one case tomato sauce was used, in the other white cream sauce.

When the pasta with tomato sauce was given on red plates and when the pasta with white cream sauce was served on white plates, the volunteers consumed 17-22 percent more pasta than the group that was served tomato sauce on white plates and white cream sauce on red plates.
