YEREVAN. – Armenian capital city Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with German Ambassador Hans-Jochen Schmidt, who is ending his diplomatic mission in Armenia.

The Mayor extended his thanks to the Ambassador for his contribution to developing Armenian-German ties, the City Hall press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

“Armenian-German relations are on a high level, and I am hopeful that Yerevan City Hall will productively work with Germany’s Embassy in Armenia in the future, too,” noted Taron Margaryan, and underscored the establishment of bilateral ties with German cities.  

In his turn, Ambassador Hans-Jochen Schmidt shared his views on Yerevan and the ongoing reforms in the municipal economy infrastructures, and he added that active work is underway likewise toward forming the external look of Yerevan.    

Also, the Mayor and the Ambassador spoke about the City Hall’s and the German Society for International Cooperation’s (GIZ) “Community and Economic Development in Armenia” project.
