YEREVAN. – Armenia’s National Assembly (NA) convened a session Wednesday, during which the Government’s main program will be examined.

In addition and pursuant to the NA’s Rules of Procedure, the parliamentary political parties must clarify their positions as to whether they are opposition or administration.

First to take the floor was ARF Dashnaktsutyun Faction leader Armen Rustamyan, who noted that the ARF is opposition.

Next was Armenian National Congress (ANC) MP, ANC Faction Secretary Aram Manukyan, who likewise stated that the ANC is opposition.

Last to take the floor was Heritage Party Faction leader Ruben Hakobyan, who announced that the Party is opposition.

But the Prosperous Armenia Party representatives violated the NA Rules of Procedure and did not clarify whether they are opposition or administration.

At present, PM Tigran Sargsyan is introducing the Government’s program.
