YEREVAN. – Armenia was the only regional country which continued stimulating the economy in 2011, Finance Minister Vache Gabrielyan stated during the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank  (BSTDB)-organized business forum held in the capital, Yerevan.

That is to say, Armenia conducted an anti-cyclical policy both during and after the global economic downturn. And as per Gabrielyan, this policy was carried out during an economic growth, which, in general, is a unique phenomenon.

The Finance Minister also informed that Armenia will no longer conduct an anti-cyclical policy in the coming years, but it will continue to take steps toward stimulating economy.

In any case, as said by Vache Gabrielyan, the state’s budget deficit will reduce and not exceed three percent of the GDP.
