YEREVAN. – Parliamentary opposition Armenian National Congress’ (ANC) demeanor is no longer on a street-meeting level, ruling Republican Party (RPA) MP Razmik Zohrabyan noted during a press conference on Monday.

In his words, the ANC received as many mandates in the Parliament as the rating it had among the body politic.

Reflecting on the Government’s recently-approved program, Zohrabyan stated that what’s important is for the listed points to be implemented.

“We will carry out the program well,” he stressed, and added that the opposition is there to criticize and the opposition is more acceptable now.

And to a news reporter’s remark that the ANC will hold a public rally Tuesday, the RPA MP said such meetings are normal, but what’s important is for them to be held within limits of appropriateness and without personal insults.
