YEREVAN. – The two-day discussions in the newly-elect Armenian Parliament showed that it is possible to find ways of cooperation among the Parliamentary opposition forces and the fact that 49 MPs voted against the Government Program proves that, secretary of opposition bloc Armenian National Congress’ (ANC) parliamentary group Aram Manukyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am commenting on Heritage’s parliamentary group head Ruben Hakobyan’s announcement that if the opposition forces of the Armenian Parliament want they can unite and cooperate.

“However, we are not talking about unification but about cooperation regarding several bills, about voting for this or that bill. Each political force decides itself what lies in its interests, how to respond towards an issue, and if the interests of the opposition coincide that’s very well. I think that 49 votes against the Government Program prove that the interests of the opposition did coincide and that happened without any preliminary agreement,” Manukyan said.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am had reported earlier, Heritage group MP Ruben Hakobyan had announced that if the opposition forces of the Armenian Parliament want, they can unite and cooperate, however, there are artificial obstacles.
