YEREVAN. – Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian received newly appointed Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Raiesi on Monday for the ceremony of receiving credentials’ copies.

Edward Nalbandian mentioned that the Armenian and Iranian nations are connected with their past, present and future, which serves as a strong basis for the cooperation between the two countries in the future.

The Armenian FM wished luck to the newly appointed ambassador expressing hope that the diplomat will give an impetus to expanding bilateral relations and deepening of cooperation.

In his turn, Ambassador Mohammad Raiesi mentioned that Iran attaches great importance to the cooperation with Armenia assuring while he is in office he will do his utmost to contribute to the further development of Armenian – Iranian relations.
