Armenian Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karaptyan went to Armenia’s Gegharkunik region on a working trip on Friday in order to get acquainted with the agriculture problems of the region and the harvesting procedures, the Armenian Ministry of Agriculture informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Minister mentioned that in five communities the field irrigation and technical equipment problems procedures are almost completed and in the sixth community they have just started.

“Compared to 2011 grain fields increased by 7,344 hectares in 2012. Potato fields have increased by 1,500 hectares,” Sergo Karapetyan said.
