YEREVAN.- An Azerbaijani serviceman crossed the border with Armenia last night and was captured by the Armenian side.

Soldier of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, citizen of Azerbaijan Firuz Faragov crossed a state border with Armenia in the north-east direction of the line of contact on the night of July 26.

Armenia’s Ministry of Defense told Armenian News-NEWS.am that the soldier was detained, an investigation is underway.

The Yerevan office of the International Committee of the Red Cross informed about captive.

As of July 25 neither Armenian nor Azerbaijani sides had captives.
