YEREVAN. – The conscripts of Russian border guard detachment in Armenia’s Armavir took an oath on Saturday (photo).

Over 100 young people took an oath to Armenia and commitment to Russia.

“Taking the oath is an important and exciting event. From now on you are defenders of the motherland. I am sure you will carry the oath with honor through the service and the entire life,” chief of border guard detachment Aleksei Zlobin said addressing the conscripts.

A few months after graduation, recruits will join the guards along the border with Turkey and Iran.
