YEREVAN.- The Presidents of Armenia and Russia are likely to discuss situation in Syria, chairman of European Integration NGO Karen Bekaryan believes.

He commented for Armenian News-NEWS.am on the meeting between Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin scheduled for August 8.

The expert considers strategic partners, such as Russia and Armenia, should exchange views on the Syrian issue to coordinate position on the issue.

“It is key problem for the entire region, not only the Arab world and Persian Gulf,” Bekaryan emphasized.

Another topic to be discussed is settlement of the Karabakh conflict. The leaders are likely to discuss economic ties, including the issue of Eurasian Union.
