YEREVAN. – Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan on Friday addressed a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of the Russian Federation, and on the occasion of Medvedev’s birth anniversary.  

“Dear Mr. Medvedev, Armenia highly appreciates your personal contribution to multiplying the friendly traditions—which today develop on strong foundations—of the peoples of our countries. 

We can be proud of the success of the cooperation, [and] of the joint initiatives. 

Your consistent efforts toward peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue likewise deserve the utmost gratitude.   

I am confident that the continuation of the intensive contacts will benefit the materialization of the arrangements that are reached toward developing Armenian-Russian allied relations.     

I wish peace and prosperity to the fraternal people of Russia,” President Sargsyan’s message specifically reads, the President’s Press Office informs.
