Blessing ceremony of the Holy Cross and the Altar of Hope will be held on Saturday, at a section nearby Armenia’s Yerevan-Aparan Highway. The event will be accompanied by celebrations and a night candlelight vigil.

Based on the idea of and the initiative by Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan, who is also the President Emeritus of the Nig-Aparan Patriotic Union, a 33-meter—which symbolizes Jesus’ age when he was nailed to the cross—Holy Cross-monument and Altar of Hope is erected on a hilltop near the aforesaid motorway.

The entire architectural structure of the Holy Cross symbolizes the significant historical and spiritual events in Christianity and in the history of the Armenian people.

Also, the Altar of Hope, which is constructed at the foot of the hill, has a platform for holding secular events intended for thousands.
