YEREVAN.- A protest action is being held near the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia which must announce the official election results on Monday.

The demonstrators are carrying banners reading “Central electoral gallery”, “Let’s arrest the fakers”. The protestors claim they do not belong to any political force and are protesting against fake elections.

The preliminary results of the February 18 elections showed Serzh Sargsyan got 58 percent of votes, while his closest rival head of Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian won about 37 percent. Hovannisian has not recognized his defeat and is holding mass protests calling to announce election results invalid.
