YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan discussed reforms in country’s aviation sphere with representatives of McKinsey & Co, press-service of the president informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to the press-service, President Sargsyan discussed perspectives of Armenia’s civil aviation development with the Senior Partner of McKinsey & Co André Andonian and Alex Dichter, McKinsey & Co Director, who helps airlines, airline-services companies, and aerospace firms develop profitable strategies and improve global operations. The member of Armenia’s National Competition Fund board of trustees, businessman Ruben Vardanian participated at the meeting as well.

During the meeting parties discussed issues related to the state regulations in aviation sphere, as well as essential conditions for the improvement of the sphere and solution of current problems. Earlier McKinsey & Co signed a treaty with Armenia’s National Competition Fund aimed at the provision of reliable and competitive carriage in Armenia.

Based on the consultations with McKinsey & Co, Armenia’s State department of civil aviation soon will announce tenders for airline routes.
