The efforts to normalize relations between Armenia and Turkey did not yield results.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan stated the aforesaid Wednesday, in response the questions posed by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) delegates, in Strasbourg, France.

He added that official Ankara was not ready for relations with Armenia.

To note, the Armenian-Turkish protocols, which aimed to help normalize relations between the two countries, were signed in October 2009 in Zurich, Switzerland. And after the signing, the protocols were to be ratified by the parliaments of both countries. But the ratification process failed due to the preconditions which Turkey had posited.
