Kyrgyz provisional government made a decision on dissolution of a one-chamber parliament of the country, head of the interim government in Kyrgyzstan, opposition leader Roza Otunbayeva told journalists on April 7, Kabar agency reports.

According to her, the power of legislative branch provisionally passes to the interim government, that continue in power for 6 months. In that period, amendments will be made to the Kyrgyz constitution, namely “On Elections”, “On Political parties” as well as “On holding meetings, processions and peace demonstrations”.

“The interim government will fulfill all functions of the legislative branch, guided by the decree on handover of power. The power of the President and Government will transfer to interim government, while activities of the Central Electoral Committee are suspended before the adoption of a new Election Code,” Otunbayeva said.

Kyrgyz armed forces and frontier guards went over to the opposition, RIA Novosti reports referring to Defense Minister of interim government Ismail Isakov.

Finance Minister of the interim government Temier Sariyev said the opposition will strongly control all financial flows, 24.kg agency informs.

The location of the President Bakiyev is still unknown. According to some data, today he will speak at the meeting in Jelalabad and inform of his resignation.
