YEREVAN. –  Armenian tablet computers were unexpected and very pleasant surprise for Eurasian Economic Commission, Russian Minister Tatyana Volovaya said.

Valovaya, the Eurasian Economic Commission Board Member and Minister for Macroeconomics and Principal Directions of Integration, arrived in Yerevan to participate in the second international economic forum of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia.

“Later on we found out that these tablets will soon have an Armenian operating system. This again proves that the Armenian economy is becoming a place to attract investment in high-tech, not resource-intensive industries,” she said.

Therefore, the Russian official said no common border is not a problem for integration. The Minister named several examples: enclaves of Russia, Greece prior to the EU enlargement in 2007, as well as  EFTA and CEFTA.
