YEREVAN. – Two Armenian soldiers were killed by Azerbaijani snipers on Thursday on Armenia-Azerbaijan border in Ararat-Nakhchivan section.

The Defense Ministry said Andranik Yegoyan (1988) and Boris Gasparyan (1992) were killed. The details are being clarified.

As reported by the Ministry's press service, the incident is a logical continuation of the recent actions of Azerbaijani Armed Forces at the line of contact proving that leadership of the neighboring state ignores any initiative aimed at peaceful resolution of the conflict.

The Azerbaijanis side is unwilling to solve the conflict peacefully and permanently turns to provocations artificially destabilizing situation on the border and threatening the peace process. Thus, the Azerbaijani authorities demonstrate their contempt for activities and efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing states, as well as the entire international community.
