YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia assists in the information technology (IT) sector, with both words and action. 

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said the abovementioned at Friday’s official opening of the 7th annual DigiTec Business Forum, which is held in capital city Yerevan and with this year’s slogan: “Smart Solutions for Smart Business.” 

“The information technology companies have significantly contributed to our economic development, and it’s impossible not to notice the progress in this sector. 

“The modernization, the introduction of innovations have always been a priority for us, since they make our economy competitive.

“We are pleased that the forum has brought together not solely the Armenian companies, but guests from abroad,” Abrahamyan specifically stated. 

A total of 51 local and 13 foreign IT companies are participating in this year’s DigiTec Business Forum.
