YEREVAN. – With the publication of the Turkish version of the first volume of the collection titled Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey: Testimonies of Survivors, the presentation of the facts associated with these materials practically becomes complete.     

Turkish human rights defender and publisher Ragip Zarakolu, who has published the Turkish version of one volume of the three-volume collection, on Wednesday stated the aforesaid at a press conference in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan.  

“I am very excited about the publication of the book’s Turkish version, since it was a result of an operative work,” Zarakolu noted.  

In his words, they have also printed in Turkey the German documents about the Armenian Genocide, and the documents which Armenian historian Verzhine Svazlian has collected throughout her lifetime.  

The three-volume collection comprises 602 testimonies of the Genocide survivors, and these witness accounts can serve as testimonies of international significance. In 2013, a total of 145 of these witness accounts were published in English. In a foreseeable future, the book is planned to be published in Russian, Spanish and French, too.
